CATTIAUX AT BERTHE WEILL

By Gaston Diehl, in « Marianne», Tribune des jeunes, December, 14, 1938

At Berthe Weill, the exhibition of the members of the former group «Gravitations» presents a very vivid interest.

Ino, with very simple elements woven into the clearest part of his life, inscribes a delicate, nuanced emotion in each canvas, whose resonances are sometimes poignant.

Cattiaux, while successfully pursuing research about the pictorial material, dives deep into the sources of spirit and knowledge to bring forth skillful, colorful, and vibrant transmutations.

Lafon retains the direct intensity and sobriety of a vision that has become flesh, but a compact and calm flesh where the slightest particle weighs and acts.

With Colucci’s works, the whole presents a true community and a sense of assurance.
